The Samsung Jet smartphone sets its stall straight away with a very respectable 5 megapixel camera, complete with flash.

But the good things don’t stop there with this powerful mobile phone. It has many superlatives, including a slim case with customisable touch-screen and very fast internet access. Other key features include HSDPA and built-in GPS navigation.

The Samsung Jet’s sleek looks promise a lot and does deliver, from the hyper fast speed of its internet access, to a touch-screen that is both crystal clear is easy to use, can be personalised and is effective even in direct sunlight, right through to its powerful camera with flash. This produces extremely sharp images which are a joy for the user of the phone.

And it’s no slouch when it comes to music as well, weighing in with a smooth MP3 player that is great for music.

It’s slim features include dimensions of 108.9mm x 53.5mm x 11.9mm and a modest weight of 110g. Talk time is up to 180 minutes and stand by time up to 250 hours.

Initial customer feedback is good, with the phone’s looks coming top in many people’s eyes. This aspect of the phone scored nearly top markets, but value for money, ease of use and features weren’t far behind. And battery life didn’t seem to disappoint either.

Unsurprisingly, much of the feedback comments concentrates on the 5 megapixel camera, with some saying that it was more powerful than their digital cameras and others liking the way a shot can be uploaded directly from the phone onto Facebook. Many applauded the phone’s ability to do everything required of it without fuss.

There are some gripes though, including some difficulty in syncing on some servers; easy to inadvertently unlock when the phone is being carried around; needs a screen saver which can be created from the user’s pictures; and, a little difficultly when opening messages.
